This page is added on popular demand. In the first four months of floating the site, we have received a number of queries on the opportunities to contribute for the children of India. Assuming you have already gone through the site and well aware of the broad spectrum of our activities, we are mentioning here some of the projects where your sponsorship is most solicited.

Education
Spreading primary education is our core activity. Your help will help it spread further. We are giving a break up of the costs involved in extending our reach. You may send your contributions against any of the items mentioned below or contact us for further details.
  • Rs. 400 or $ 10(US) to provide learning material to a deprived child for an year.

  • Rs. 800/- or $ 20(US) for a black board.

  • Rs. 2000/- or $ 50(US) for a bench/table/chair.

  • Rs. 9,6000/- or $ 2,400(US) to furnish a school for 200.

  • Rs. 1,40,000/- or $ 3,500(US) to pay the wages and salaries of 4 teachers and one non-teaching staff of a primary school.

  • Rs. 2,40,000 or $ 6,000(US) to set up every new primary school 

Health care

Health care is synonymous to education. Your contribution will expand the scope of our service.

  • Rs. 400/- or $ 10(US) to ensure healthcare for a child for an year.

  • Rs. 400/- or $10(US) annually will provide health kit (nail cutter, band-aid, handkerchief, soap, etc) to a student.

  • Rs. 20,000/- or $ 500 (US) to ensure supply of safe drinking water to 500 families.

 

Rescued and Destitute Children's Home
  • Rs. 8, 000 or $ 200 (US) to buy a cot and bedding for 
    a child.

  • Rs. 6, 000 or $ 150 (US) annually provides food to 
    a child.

  • Rs. 2,300 or $ 60(US) annually provides education to
    a child.

  • Rs. 600 or $ 15(US) annually saves a child health.

  • Rs. 400 or $ 10 (US) annually will provide health
    kit (napkin, comb, toothpaste, toothbrush, 
    handkerchief, oil, soap, etc) to a child.

  • Rs. 800 or $ 20(US) annually to afford garments to a 
    child including school uniform.

  • 7.Rs. 100 or $ 2.5 (US) annually to provide playing
     items to a child.

  • Rs. 32,000 or $ 800(US) annually provides the total supervision costs for each caretaker.

  • Rs. 96,000 or $ 2,400(US) annually provides the total supervision costs for three caretakers.

  • Rs. 10,200 or $ 255 (US) annually provides the overall expenditure for a child.

  • Rs. 2,55,000 or $ 6,375 (US) annually provides the overall expenditure for 25 children.

Comprehensive Economic Welfare Programme

This programme is aimed at lifting the target population above poverty line. The methods include offering seed capital either in cash or in kind, to help them source livelihood through some commercial activity and ensuring steady growth in their earnings over a number of years, till they turn self sufficient.

  • Rs. 1,000/- or $ 25(US) helps to provide 10 poultry birds to a family.

  • Rs. 1,000/- or $ 25(US) helps to provide 10 ducks to a family.

  • Rs. 8,000/- or $ 200(US) to offer a cow to a family.

  • Rs. 8,000/- or $ 200(US) to provide a sewing machine to a family.

  • Rs. 3,200/- or $ 80(US) helps to provide a family for making rice product (Muri).

  • Rs.10,000/- or $ 250(US) helps to start a grocery shop by a family.

  • Rs, 1,000/- or $ 25(US) helps a family to start vegetable vending.

  • Rs. 10,000/- or $ 250(US) helps a family to start a carpentry shop.  

  • Rs. 5,000/- or $ 125(US) helps a family to start a pottery.

  • Rs.3,200/- or $ 80(US) helps a family to start a smithy. 

  • Rs. 4,000/- or $ 100(US) helps a family to start a book-binding shop.

  • Rs. 1,000/- or $ 25(US) helps a family to start a bamboo basket unit.

  • Rs. 5,000/- or $ 125(US) helps a family to start  fish-net making.

  • Rs. 10,000/- or $ 250(US) helps a family to start a cycle-rickshaw repairing shop. 

Our Movement to ensure child rights
Ensuring child rights is the sole responsibility of the State. We run projects to set the right example before the government. We hit the streets or the Web to force them to adopt it. We need your help to make it more pronounced. Contribute under any of the two heads mentioned below:
  • Rs. 80,000/- or $ 2000(US) for action oriented research on child rights issues.

  • Rs. 2,00,000/- or $ 5000(US) to sharpen our presence on the Web.
